Sleep Consultation
Dr. Gingras begins an infant or pediatric sleep evaluation by performing a sleep consultation. This is the perfect time to discuss your concerns and observations as a parent. Dr. Gingras will conduct a physical examination, review and record sleep events, interpret and discuss sleep events, and make treatment recommendations. She will recommend a sleep study if needed.
Dr. Gingras cares deeply about her infant and pediatric patients -- and their families. She spends time answering all your questions, and communicates her recommendations in a timely fashion to your child's primary healthcare provider and to all consultants involved in your child's care.
Sleep Studies
Gingras Sleep Medicine's testing facility offers the comfortable luxuries of a hotel-like setting. Our sleep facility is safe and family centered, and our pediatric rooms are child themed and child friendly. There is a separate bed in the child’s room, so you can comfortably spend the night with your child. Our friendly sleep technicians are always close by in case you or your baby need anything.
Our highly trained, certified technicians specialize in pediatric sleep testing and will closely monitor your child during the sleep study. Using state-of-the-art computerized video polysomnography equipment and monitors for the detection of apnea and other sleep disorders in children, the technicians gather data about your child's brain activity, blood oxygen levels, airflow, heart rate, breathing, eye movements, and muscle movements, as well as how long it takes your child to fall asleep. Dr. Gingras reviews all of this information to help confirm a diagnosis and plan treatment.
